I was contacted by ACM Founding Father and Producer, Cliffie
I recorded three songs for Cliffie, "Who's Rocking The Cradle", "Dancing In The Arms Of A Memory", and "A Little Sooner".
Cliffie called into my show to promote these songs. Tragically, this was his last interview. He passed away two weeks later.
When Cliffie was given the "Legend Award" by the North American Country Music Awards International after his untimely passing, I was invited to perform "Dancing In The Arms Of A Memory" at the Awards Ceremony in Tennessee.
Cliffie and I were very good friends and he is deeply missed.

Johnny Cash and I have something in common. We both have a good friend in Legendary Songwriter and Publisher Richard McGibony. Richard wrote Johnny's smash hit, "Mont Eagle Mountain". Richard has written a number of hit songs for me as well. Richard shared some stories about the wild times him and Mr. Cash had on my show.

Our Wounded Warriors Appreciate Your Help:
Dear Billy,
When you shared your support to our nation's wounded warriors, you showed the generosity and kindness that makes a real difference during the long road to recovery these men and women need each and every day.
I hope I can count on you to show that same commitment to these brave service men and women in the weeks and months ahead. But first I wanted to share a few notes I've received that show the impact you are already having in the lives of our wounded warriors.
"As a patient at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, it is my honor to say thank you for supporting us"- Sargeant Rick Z. U.S. Army (Ret)
"You are not improving lives, you are saving lives. You are the light at the end of the tunnel." -Sargeant Brett C., U.S. Army (Ret)
"I just want to say thank you to all that support the troops. Without your support, I and other soldiers would feel as if what we have done was unappreciated." -Staff Sergeant Michael C., U.S. Army (Ret)
I hope these messages show you how much our service members appreciate your enduring and steadfast support. Thank you again for standing with our troops and their families.
Sincerely,
Susan Thomas, VP Operation Enduring Care, USO
